About

Lauren “Lola” Falkowski is the owner and designer behind the leather goods company Lolafalk. Self-taught in her craft, Lola produces all items by hand in her Brooklyn-based studio, infusing a knack for blending unusual color combinations into her designs. She finds much of her color-centric inspiration in the contrasting hues and architecture of buildings in the Brooklyn neighborhoods that surround her studio, weaving these visual triggers into design elements on her bags and wallets. Her leather goods also incorporate multi-functional features to accommodate the unique needs of fashion-forward urban dwellers.

When she’s not wreaking color-crazed havoc with her leather pieces, Lola loves anything fitness-related – swimming, running, weights, plyometrics, nutrition – and fantasizes about one day holding the dual profession of handbag designer/personal trainer. She has been known to do squats and jumping jacks in the studio between rounds on the sewing machine.

10% of all Lolafalk sales each month are donated to charities that support women and girls around the world – specifically organizations that provide education, healthcare, protection against violence, and micro-loans to support independent female-owned businesses. A few of Lola’s favorite organizations are the International Rescue Committee, The Girl Effect, and Handbags of Hope.
