We started Keap Candles with a lot of passion and one burning idea: to make candles better and more affordable, while pioneering a new model for social good.

Candles are magical. There’s a reason they’ve been around for millennia. A good candle immediately turns any space into a home with a potent blend of design, fragrance, and light. Unfortunately, the best candles are often ridiculously overpriced.

And that’s how our story begins. As roommates sharing an apartment on Keap Street in Brooklyn, we came home every night and lit candles to make our space feel like it was really, truly ours—but it cost a fortune. We realized that candles made with pure materials and impeccable design could (and should) be sold at an honest price.

We also discovered that we could make a difference in our global community—by partnering with SolarAid to distribute solar lamps to people living outside of the electrical grid.
