Meraki NYC

I’m Terri Frohman, native New Yorker who spent over a decade as an art teacher before launching Meraki NYC and founding Handmade in Brooklyn.



The Meraki NYC Studio is located in the Gowanus Print Lab, where I screen print, create authentic handmade art, clothing and leather accessories. Meraki is a Greek word which translates to: do something, anything with love and creativity; soulfully putting yourself into your work. This philosophy embodies my work style and ethic.

When I'm not in my studio, at a popup shop, making or looking at art somewhere, I work on building strong relationships within my community of other makers, drinking whiskey, searching for the best chai lattes and thrift stores of the whole universe, boxing at the UFC Gym or listening to some classic 90's hip hop loudly in my car.
